(Student) I really enjoy working with Sara because she is quite nice and always listens to my ideas and opinions. She really understands me and supports me. She is a great teacher and always makes learning fun. The environment she teaches in is really great and she has a lot of helpful resources. It’s cool that she has shown me a completely different way of learning. It’s interesting to see where a word came from and what it is now. A lot of times she might not know where a word came from (because there are so many words) so we learn the word together and it’s fun. I’m glad I get to work with her!

(Parent) Through her approach to language as an exploration, Sara introduced curiosity into a subject that had previously made my son feel despair. He had given up trying to learn to read because he couldn't make sense of things he'd been told were based almost entirely on simple rules. By teaching a combination of word structure and word origin, Sara helped my son gain an appreciation for language as both complex and interesting. He has shown significant improvement in his confidence and capability as a reader since he started sessions with her. Sara is also an incredibly kind person who truly cares about her students."
